Flight attendant students in the Triad Aviation Academy program

Spread Your Wings With The
#1 Rated Flight Attendant Preparation Program

FAA-certified, hands-on training with a 96% placement rate since 1998.

The Flight Attendant Training
Program That Gets Results

The flight attendant program prepares you for airline training, which is where most aspiring flight attendants struggle. Without proper preparation, only about 1% of candidates pass their airline training on the first try. At TAA, 96% of our students pass, because our program is built specifically to get you through training and into the sky.

Only a handful of organizations in the US offer programs to help flight attendants get hired and then pass their airline training. We were the first, and after 28 years, we know what we're doing.

Have Questions Before You Enroll?

Flight attendant training is a serious step, and clear answers matter. Search below to understand your eligibility and what to expect from the program.

You must be a citizen or legal resident of the United States, hold a valid passport from any country (some airlines require a driver's license too), and be legally able to work and travel in and out of the US without restrictions.
You need a High School Diploma or GED, good English comprehension (being bi-lingual is a big plus), at least 2 years of experience working with the public OR at least 2 years of college, and a consistent work or school history (exceptions may include raising children, elder care, retirement, etc.).
No multiple piercings or ear gauges that cannot be removed for work, complete use of all five senses, well-groomed with good hygiene, body weight in proportion to height (must fit onto a 15-inch jump seat without a seatbelt extension), and the ability to easily pass through emergency exits and walk down the aisle without turning sideways. In general, most airlines require you to be at least 4'11" and reach overhead compartments up to 6'0",a few airlines will hire outside these limits.
Airline tattoo policies are diverse and everchanging, but airlines are pretty conservative when it comes to tattoos. Some ban them completely, some are OK if covered by the uniform, and some allow a little bit to show (credit card size or smaller). No airline will hire you with tattoos on your head, face, chest or ears, or any offensive tattoo. Please disclose ALL your tattoos to our admissions team before applying so we can advise you on your possible airline choices.
You must be able to pass an intensive 10-year background check, drug screen, and fingerprint check, have no recent or multiple misdemeanors (at least three years back), no felonies more recent than 10 years ago (no violent felonies), and possess a friendly, positive attitude, especially during stressful situations.
You must be able to be away from home up to 5 days at a time, be willing to relocate, work nights, weekends, and holidays, and be willing to focus and study hard to learn the material to become a Flight Attendant.
If you love adventure and travel, have a flexible schedule, and enjoy working with people, this could be the job for you. The best Flight Attendants have a passion for customer service, great communication skills, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and always maintain a positive, professional attitude. Aviation is one big family, once you're in it, you're family too.
Flight Attendants make on average between $20,000–$30,000 their first year, and up to $50,000 per year with some seniority. Airlines offer great benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, and profit sharing. Flight benefits are a major perk too, along with discounts on car rentals, hotels, tour packages, and cruises, plus ample time off and flexible schedules to travel and see the world.
Choosing the right program is the most important decision you can make. Watch out for programs claiming accreditation that doesn't apply to short courses, online-only programs that skip hands-on fire suppression and evacuation drills, guaranteed employment claims (only the airline can hire you), money-back guarantees with fine print, confusing price structures, and stock photos that misrepresent the school's actual equipment. Any program longer than 4–5 days is overkill, and a school without current Flight Attendants on staff can't keep training up to date. Triad Aviation Academy prides itself on being honest and transparent in everything we do.
No, a formal college degree or additional training isn't required. However, this industry is extremely competitive, fewer than 1% of applicants are hired without preparation. Our Flight Attendant Preparation Program provides the specific skills airline recruiters look for, and 96% of our graduates receive job offers from the airlines.
Triad Aviation Academy's copyrighted, 28-year-old proprietary program is dedicated to ensuring your success at airline-specific training. We have our own cabin trainer and FAA-spec 737 Overwing Emergency Exit Trainer for live evacuation drills, safety demos, jump-seat practice, interactive fire suppression training, CPR basics, and more. All of our instructors are current or experienced former Flight Attendants with over 100 years of combined experience.
Triad Aviation Academy is an FAA-approved Part 141 Flight School located at 1030 PTI Drive at Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, NC. Flight Attendant classes are conducted monthly at the Airport Marriott, located on the airport grounds just down the street from the flight school.
TAA offers a Premium + Room & Board program that includes a private hotel room and meals at the Airport Marriott for your entire stay, a Premium Course that doesn't include a hotel room but includes lunch, and a Home Study program that is our Complete Home Study Curriculum without airline referrals or Lifetime Placement. Visit our Enrollment Page for current pricing.
All in-class programs require appropriate interview clothes and shoes based on the dress code provided, and tips for breakfast at the hotel. If staying at the Marriott, budget for transportation to and from PTI Airport. Note: tuition must be paid in full 2 weeks before class to allow time to study before being tested in class.
Payment plans are available for all programs. Contact us at (336) 949-3007 to arrange one. You can also pay through PayPal and pay 0% interest for 6 months, check out our financing options for more details.
Our program consists of two full weeks of at-home distance learning plus four days of in-person training at Piedmont Triad International Airport. Any training longer than that is overkill for what you need to secure a job and pass your airline's training.
No. Each airline is required by the FAA to conduct their own training, at which time you'll be instructed on their specific policies upon hire. Our class prepares you to pass any airline's training with confidence, teaching the industry standards all Flight Attendants must know regardless of airline.
No Flight Attendant school can guarantee job placement, however airline recruiters with open positions regularly attend our classes to interview and hire our students. TAA students have a 96% hire rate within 60 days of attending class. Lifetime Placement Assistance is available to in-class graduates,we'll work with you until you're hired and continue to assist you even years later.
Upon enrollment you'll receive our Welcome Packet introducing you to the course and instructors, plus material to begin distance learning at home. Once you've completed the Home Study step, you'll receive your Complete Home Study Curriculum covering resume construction, airline interviews, and pre-training preparation.
Study your manuals at home and be ready to be tested in class. Have your resume draft ready and sent in 2 weeks before class, and bring an appropriate outfit for the interviews conducted by actual airline recruiters during class.
Fire suppression training, emergency evacuation drills, hands-on emergency equipment training, and CPR basics simply can't be learned online. In-person classes also provide networking, bonding, and peer support, and airline recruiters regularly attend our sessions to conduct live, on-site hiring interviews, you can't get that online. Airline referrals and Lifetime Placement can only be offered to in-class participants.
Because you receive copyrighted, proprietary educational material in exchange for your payment, tuition is not refundable, even if you decide not to continue with the program. Please be committed to attending before enrolling. Tuition is good for a year.
